Awards

Overall - The top 3 overall male and female finishers will be awarded a beautiful gem tone cast base glass bowl from one of our major sponsors - Wimberley Glass Works. 

NEW- The overall first place male and female winners will also receive Gift Certificates worth $100 for use toward new running shoes from Core Running Company! Overall awards (men & women) will be based on "gun time", but you must wear a chip to be timed. The Overall Awards will be presented to the winners in a special ceremony at approximately 9:45 am in Texan Stadium.  There will be no duplication (double award) of overall and age-group awards.

Age Group - Top 3 male and female finishers by five year age group will each receive beautiful W4 medals. 

NEW- First place finishers in each age group will also receive a $20 off certificate good for use at Core Running Company.  Age group brackets are as follows: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75+.

T-Shirts
All entrants will receive the 'must have', Official 2011 Wimberley 4 T-Shirt...and bragging rights in years ahead that you were here in the early years of this great event!

Chip Timing
Race Scoring in the 4 Mile Run & Walk event will use the ChampionChip Timing system, provided by

All Sports Timing Racing Services.

You will not be an official finisher if you do not wear the chip on your shoe in the 4 Mile event. Pick up your chip on race morning near the start. Return your chip at the finish line or you may be assessed a $30 dollar fee. If you own your own chip, include your race chip number in the space provided on the event registration form. Please confirm with race officials at packet pickup, and on race morning to insure your chip is in the scoring system.

No chips will be used for the 3K Fitness Walk as there will be no timing/scoring for the Fitness Walk.

Race Number Bibs
The Wimberley 4 Race Number bib provided in your race packet is required to be worn to identify you as an official participant in the event. This bib number identifies you to event volunteers for race support and allows access onto the track for the Finish in Texan Stadium. Anyone not wearing the Official Wimberley 4 race bib will not be allowed onto the track for the finish of the race or into the participant's post event area.
